Who You Are:
The Key Account Manager is responsible for both maintaining and developing new sales of products across the Life Science portfolio, focusing on selling to end-users within assigned key academic accounts across Sweden. In this field-based role, the Key Account Manager will act as the primary point of contact for customers within research laboratories such as Principal Investigators, Lab Managers, Research Scientists and Technical Support Staff. The position will leverage the Key Account Manager’s scientific knowledge to find solutions and provide advice to our customers. It incorporates managing stakeholders to identify high priority and high value opportunities and delivering upon these. This position will coordinate all customer support functions, including field and office-based specialists, to help our customers meet their objectives and maximise business opportunities. All Key Account Managers are therefore expected to utilise the available tools and resources to track and report sales activity and share account knowledge, as well as to exceed sales targets on a quarterly and annual basis, ensuring sustainable, profitable and plannable growth. The position will utilise lead identification and qualification, call planning, pipeline management and performance monitoring to drive sales and achieve set growth targets.
Key attributes:
- Scientific degree or equivalent, with experience of relevant lab techniques (addition of MSc or PhD welcomed but not essential).
- Proven sales experience within a similar industry.
- Strong consultative selling skills.
- Solid account planning and management skills.
- Be digitally savvy and be able to work with tools such as salesforce.com.
- Good business acumen and able to produce and interpret sales data in various formats.
- Presentation skills and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
- A flexible approach, being able to work autonomously, collaboratively or as part of a team.
