Your Role:

As a Key Account Manager, reporting to the National Sales Manager, you are primarily responsible for promoting Merck’s Neurology product within the NSW North territory. You will be conducting territory management activities to maximise product usage, and building professional, long-term business relationships with customers through value-added sales calls and activities to drive territory sales performance. Your subject matter expertise within the therapeutic area will also see you identifying and developing new business opportunities to increase market share and meet sales targets.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets for assigned territory in a time-effective manner (as defined by Merck Healthcare ANZ Operating Plan)
  • Maintain up-to-date product and therapeutic knowledge in line with Senior Key Account Manager expectations
  • Apply selling skills as per Senior Key Account Manager expectations and in line with the Merck Healthcare selling model
  • Build and deliver territory business plan in line with set objectives. Monitor and interpret the financial performance of the territory and develop appropriate action plans in line with Senior Key Account Manager expectations
  • Conduct territory management activities in line with set objectives
  • Deliver all other sales force effectiveness objectives as determined by manager
  • Actively participate in the Merck Performance Management Process and Personal Development Plan
  • Work within company Standard Operating Procedures and industry and apply Merck Values and Code of Conduct in daily duties activities.

 

Who You Are:

  • Degree qualifications in Science, Business or related disciplines, with strong Account Management and Specialty sales experience, preferably in Neurology
  • Medicines Australia Accredited
  • Understanding of the current marketplace, with exceptional communication & presentation skills
  • Ability to think strategically, and quickly build rapport and strong, rewarding relationships with key stakeholders across all levels
  • Collaborative team player who is customer-centric, results-driven & solutions-focused
  • Positive, professional with integrity and a growth mindset
