Job Title: B2B Business Development Lead

LocationTokyo

Report to: Head of B2B, APAC (In Korea)

Main Objectives of the Job

In this role, you will be part of a growing team which ensures exceptional growth of e-commerce channel. Working in tandem with Global B2B, Country Commercial & CE Teams, you will drive B2B growth and adoption across APAC, including but not limited to: (1) B2B partnership opportunity development, (2) best-in-class eProcurement solution consulting & implementation, (3) customer adoption & nurturing to digitalize and streamline purchasing process.

 

Key Accountabilities

1)Business development & technical consultation in country (mainly for Japan; + SEA)

  • Strategic focus area & roadmap: Plan & develop country B2B growth strategy and roadmap in alignment with Global B2B strategic focus areas & Country commercial priorities.
  • B2B opportunity development: Identify new integration opportunities in close collaboration with Commercial Team. Verify & shortlist potential B2B customers with high business value & technical capability. Consult & propose B2B solution suit to customer needs.
  • B2B integration: Commit to deliver seamless integration services in collaboration with Global B2B Integration Team on defined scope & timeline. Act as Project Manager to track project progress, issues & change management to enable new B2B connections.
  • B2B adoption & nurture: Adopt & nurture connected B2B partners to maximize channel usage and increase B2B adoption rate.
  • Platform & services maintenance: Conduct operational maintenance tasks required to sustain active B2B channel usage, including handling B2B customer inquiries, catalog development, etc. Collaborate with country teams to seek process productivity.
  • Solution enhancement: Gather customer voices to translate into technical business requirements. Introduce new & upgraded B2B solutions to customers & country sales / CE in effort to unlock further eCommerce growth opportunities.
  • B2B performance monitor & reporting: Monitor & analyze country B2B performance & deliver actionable insights.

 

2)Strengthen foundation for accelerated B2B growth (for entire APAC)

  • B2B adoption & nurture: Design & enforce B2B adoption & nurture practices across APAC. 
  • Maintain & upgrade APAC B2B adopt & nurture playbook. 
  • Plan & distribute quarterly B2B newsletter for internal stakeholders. 

 

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor degree in business admin / computer application preferred

 

Experience

  • 5+ years of Business Development / Partnerships / Value selling / Technology integration experience ideally in eProcurement area
  • Experience in working with Enterprise Technology companies like SAP, Oracle; Alternatively, experience in digital consulting especially in Procurement transformation initiatives in B2B context
  • Comfort in comprehensive handling of full business cycle of new partnerships – identification, pitching, commercial construct, taking business live and ongoing improvement
  • Experienced in working in a regional role or working in a cross-cultural environment
  • Solid digital / IT project experience preferred 
  • Project management experience
