Job Description

Your role

An exciting new opportunity within Formulations as part of our company’s  Electronics business has arisen. In your role you will be in charge of several aspects around the management of a specific product portfolio.

Your responsibility will be to manage availability of commercial products in the right location at the right cost and the right quantities.

This includes driving make-or-buy decision and production site definition for product launches moreover you will develop manufacturing strategies in alignment with Production and Business. Continuous improvement projects for cost, quality & efficiency will be part of your work scope just like coordinating/managing change projects and support for resolution of customer issues.

You will work in a highly international team spread around the globe. Your strong project management skills shall enable you to define concepts, deploy and successfully implement complex and multi-regional projects.   

For creation of capacity and/or capability roadmaps you will intensively collaborate with Business Marketing & Integrated Supply Chain. Other internal partners for critical project fulfillment are Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Product Stewardship and Controlling.

Focus areas will be:

  • Analyze demand vs capacity to develop investment roadmaps enabling seamless product supply against our development roadmaps
  • Manage projects related to change ie production site transfers, changes to raw materials, production efficiency gains and the like.
  • Drive activities in alignment with Marketing to bring profitability of our products to target.
  • Support other supply and capacity related items associated with quality, production, product packaging, constrained supply and other fulfillment activities.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technical, or related field is required. Master/MBA is a plus.
  • More than 3 years’ experience in marketing, engineering, supply chain, customer applications support, technology, or operations within the semiconductor or related industry.
  • Ability to analyze complicated data sets and maintain data integrity.
  • Strong presentation skills ie ability to structure analysis results for consistent narrative and presentation to higher management
  • Strong collaborator with independent workstyle and excellent communication skills, especially across a matrix and global organization.
  • Solid project management skills with a disciplined approach; proved ability to motivate team members from various support groups.
  • Continual improvement (CIP) skills or interest in pursuing CIP expertise.
  • Basic understanding of the semiconductor Materials business – products, customers, applications
  • You are open to travel globally (approx. 10-20% of your time)
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English.
