Your role: Risk Management has become a crucial source of competitive advantage for companies. Procurement will play a decisive role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to procurement processes and supply chain operations, thus creating value as well as reducing costs for our businesses. This role will report into the Sustainability area of Procurement Excellence & Sustainability and will play a decisive role in ensuring that Group Procurement operates effectively while protecting the company’s assets and reputation.
You will:

  • Design and implement a robust risk management model for Group Procurement in collaboration with Sourcing staff, CoE experts and other relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Analyse procurement data and market trends to develop and implement strategies, procedures and tools to identify procurement-related risks in line with corporate and business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess potential risks to our business arising from our supplier base and the goods and services we purchase (e.g. financial, operational, strategic, legal, reputational risks, etc) and facilitate Sourcing teams in managing their supply risks through effective mitigation actions and contingency plans. Also coordinate risk reporting activities within Group Procurement. 
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues at all levels to ensure they understand risk practices and motivate them to contribute to minimizing our company's risk exposure. Also promote a risk management mindset among Procurement staff and encourage them to include risk management elements in their strategies and daily activities.
     

This position can be filled in any location in Europe, preferably in Germany.
 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Business Administration, Legal, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years experience managing risks, ideally in Supplier or Supply Chain Management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Affinity for technology solutions and systems.
  • Experience in implementing change across different environments.
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Experience working in a global procurement organization may be preferred.
  • Fluent in English, German a clear advantage.
