Your role:

As Pharmaceutical Sales Training Manager (all genders) you will have the exciting task of setting up a training infrastructure in Merck's German pharmaceutical sales organization with a focus on the commercial sales force. Your tasks will include the development of training programs on the topics of sales, communication and soft skills, the coordination of external trainers and participation in change management as part of strategic go-to-market initiatives. In addition, you will be responsible for the local onboarding team, ensuring that we provide a positive onboarding and offboarding experience for our employees and that appropriate onboarding training is planned and executed efficiently. Due to the administrative and conceptual focus of the role, this is an office-based position.

 

  • Development of a training infrastructure
  • Selection, induction and coordination of external trainers with a focus on sales, communication and soft skills
  • Development and implementation of basic training in the areas of soft skills and communication as well as administrative training
  • Continuous monitoring and localization of relevant global/regional training programs
  • Development of onboarding plans
  • Facilitating and conducting training for new and existing employees
  • Implementation of strategic initiatives and projects
  • Management of the onboarding team

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree with a scientific or economic focus
  • At least 4-9 years of professional experience
  • At least 3 years of experience as a key account manager in the Rx market
  • Experience in conducting training courses
  • Persuasive communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Leadership qualities
  • Scientific knowledge in our therapeutic areas is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • Ideally, you already have a trainer qualification
