YOUR ROLE:

As the Data Governance Expert, you will play a key role in developing the data governance strategy and control environment for the Enabling Functions (EF) data and AI organization. This position involves promoting a reliable data governance framework for data products, bridging business requirements with governance standards, and collaborating with AI and analytics teams, data stewards, technology managers, and external partners to ensure robust data management practices.
Your mission includes establishing data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulations.

You will oversee data management practices, implement processes for monitoring and improving data quality, and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements while identifying and mitigating potential data risks. Additional responsibilities include developing training programs on governance policies, tracking compliance and reporting metrics to senior management, resolving data-related conflicts, and periodically updating governance frameworks to address evolving business needs and technological changes.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Hands-on experience with data governance frameworks, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, or other governance tools).
  • Experience in defining and implementing data quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with data stewardship practices, such as data cataloging, lineage tracking, and data lifecycle management.
  • University degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Informatics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or a related field, or other qualifications in data or communication.
  • Proven analytical skills, quality assurance techniques and ability to synthetize.
  • Efficient, problem-solving attitude, result-oriented way of working, and interdisciplinary thinking.
  • Proactive, always one step ahead of digital trends and technologies, strong interest in researching future trends in data management in a heterogeneous IT environment and actively sharing ideas and possible approaches with others.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and create impactful, understandable messages and storylines for both experts and non-experts.
  • Fluency in English
