This role can be done in a hybrid model from Wrocław.
Your role:
We are committed to providing cutting-edge resources and information to our global community. Our Scientific Library plays a crucial role in this endeavor by offering electronic content and a diverse array of databases to users worldwide. In your role you will manage and maintain the inventory of journals, scientific resources and standards within the Scientific Library. Coordinate the ordering process for new acquisitions and renewals, ensuring timely access to essential resources. Oversee invoice processing and budget management for library acquisitions. Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with international publishers and database providers, negotiating contracts and resolving any issues that may arise. Collaborate closely with internal partners across departments to assess information needs and optimize resource allocation.

Who you are: 

  • Successful training as a library assistant or 2-3 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Confident handling of scientific resourcers and electronic media
  • Strong customer and service orientation and enjoy dealing with international library users
  • Confident handling of SAP, ARIBA, MS-Office
  • Ability to work independently and a high degree of teamwork and communication skills
  • Very good written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage
