YOUR ROLE:
We are seeking a bright, curious and customer-focused Legal Counsel with German. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years legal experience in an in-house or law firm legal role, with a strong expertise in commercial contracting, understanding of contract lifecycle management and service delivery. 

You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of contracts, from CDA, through various service agreements to IT contracts related to a broad range of Client’s business activity. 
You will be handling procurement and licensing matters. You will be responsible for ensuring timely review and response on all contract review requests and appropriate escalation of any potential concerns or issues.
 

WHO YOU ARE:

• European degree in law

• Providing expert legal support with independence and minimum supervision

• Strong negotiation, drafting and communicating skills in English (German language would be a plus)
• Ability to efficiently review contracts and smoothly communicate with different stakeholders involved in the contract negotiation process (business, procurement etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of commercial contracts, including IT contracts and/or life science contracts
• Staying current with relevant laws and regulations as well as industry standards and trends
• Additional work experience in contracting in the United States of America or with a company / law firm contracting under US law would be a plus
• Ability to analyze legal contracting issues and formulate and execute strategic responses with a keen understanding of the impact to business interests and company goals
• Being open-minded, eager to learn and develop new skills and mindsets, with a strong orientation on continues improvement and customer experience  
• Curious and continuous learner with excellent organizational skills
• Reliable self-starter with the capability of working independently and as a team contributor
• Problem-solving and can-do attitude
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and work on few different contracts at the same time
