The InterLab-Merck R&D center in Yavne is seeking a Senior Scientist specializing in cancer immunology to contribute to the discovery and development of innovative cancer immunotherapeutics and biomarkers. Candidates should possess a robust background in immunology or cancer biology. We are looking for a detail-oriented researcher who can enhance our expertise in translational and reverse translational research to support the development of novel cancer immunotherapies. The successful candidate will design, conduct and analyze biological experiments, as well as assist in preparing comprehensive documentation for experimental procedures. This position is for 6 months (maternity leave replacement), with the possibility of extension.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Biology or related field.
- Knowledge and experience in research principles, concepts and practices in immunology, cancer biology, or big data analysis.
- Skilled in mammalian cell culture, in vivo, flow cytometry, immunology, and cell biology techniques.
- Experience in computational biology and programming (R or Python) is an advantage.
- A creative thinker with an innovative edge.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
