Your role :

To address the current demand for change requests in the P2D-PM and P2P-PUR for LEAN and NEO ERP Systems.  The position focuses on all aspects of Plant Maintenance technical design, which includes working on calibration, Preventive, Repair maintenance and also configuring Fiori apps.
Additionally this role supports technical integration efforts to harmonize legacy systems and transition integration solutions from on-premise to cloud environment.Lead and deliver end-to-end SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) and MM (Materials Management) solutions to support operational maintenance, asset management, and procurement processes.

Act as a bridge between business leaders, plant operations, and IT to ensure reliable, scalable, and compliant maintenance and procurement capabilities.

Who you are:

Requirements gathering and Solution design for SAP PM and SAP MM, including preventive maintenance, work order management, notifications, breakdown maintenance, and Third pary integration. 

Excellent knowledge of P2P Application area and Business to understand integrated processes across modules

Configure and customize SAP PM: maintenance plans, maintenance strategies, work orders, notifications, PM calendars, and PMIS integration.

Configure and optimize SAP MM: procurement, release strategy, purchasing (P2P), inventory management, material master, BOM, work center integration, and MRP with PM integration.

Collaborate with ABAP/tech teams to customize enhancements, concepts of Clean core approach and interface mappings; support data migration and cutover activities with business processes architects.

Support testing strategy: plan, create test cases, coordinate SIT/UAT, and ensure defect resolution.

Ensure compliance with Merck IT standards, security policies, and change-management governance.

Experience with SAP PM–MM integrations in a GxP/compliant environment.

Hands-on ABAP/tech-side experience for minor enhancements or debugging.

Partners with the Business Process Owner Organisation and Delivery team to translate URS proposals into FDD/TDS/CD (concept and implementation)  

Support technical Cut-over and Go-live activities according to project plan. 

  1. Defines and conducts quality checks (technical documentation, Quality, Assessment, Prototyping, Deployment, Go-live and lessons learnt).

    13. Secure proper handover from project to Solution Architect Team and AMS. 

    14. Single Point of Contact for AMS  Approves customising / configuration changes for transport. 

    15, Maintenance of standard change lists and approval of requested standard changes.
