Your role

  • You will stir the development and customer adoption of our Process Solutions innovation portfolio by generating holistic application data across multiple therapeutic modality workflows, thus shaping the future of pharma manufacturing.
  • You will elevate Process Solutions’ customer-centricity and establish a balanced perspective between portfolio verticals (i.e. unit operations) and integrated customer workflows.
  • You will report to the VP, Process Solutions Innovation.
  • This role can be placed in Darmstadt, Germany or Burlington, USA.

 

Key responsibilities

  • You will lead a global organization responsible for the development of holistic process know-how and datasets across multiple therapeutic modality workflows, using our latest bioprocess innovations along the entire drug process development and manufacturing value chain, i.e. upstream & downstream processing, formulation, automation, process analytics.
  • You will define and execute the innovation strategy, roadmaps, and execution plans for application & process development in alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and market needs.
  • You will build and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary team and cultivate a culture of empowerment, quality, and delivery discipline.
  • You will drive organizational efficiency through flexible resource allocation to projects/initiatives based on customer and business priorities.
  • You will drive cross-functional collaboration across R&D, business, commercial and external partners to deliver compliant, scalable bioprocessing solutions and workflow enhancements.
  • You will provide input into new product development projects, oversee knowledge transfer to customers, champion continuous improvement through analytics and simulation, and manage budget, resources, and lab infrastructure.

 

Who you are

  • 10+ years’ experience leading large and global organizations in drug process development or manufacturing in pharma, biotech, or CDMO companies.
  • 10+ years’ experience of leading global leaders; able to hire, mentor, and retain top talent.
  • Proven track record delivering efficient and compliant pharma manufacturing processes that can be scaled into clinical and commercial phases.
  • Industry thought leader on pharma processing innovation with deep understanding of manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements and quality standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and translate complex concepts into actionable plans.
